Speech and Language Processing
An Introduction to natural language processing, Computational Linguistics and Speech Recognition with Language Models
I believe, this book by Daniel Jurafsky and James H. Martin was a godsend for me. It maintains a lucid tone throughout(I've reached chapt. 6, for now) and can serve as a solid foundation for the fundamentals of NLP, I believe.
I'll maintain an account of what I read and understood, possibly organized topic wise, not chapter wise.
